Sayedna Silouan visited the parish of St Aidan of Lindisfarne over the weekend of 23rd and 24th November (2024) and ordained Edward Bennigsen and Simon Aradom Subdeacons together with Daniel Polson and Aaron Malloy Readers. Assistant priest Father Daniel Codreanu was also given the faculty to hear confessions.
After the Sunday Hierarchical Divine Liturgy the community shared the Agape Meal and then proceeded to a combined General Meeting and Parish Council with the Bishop. A discussion ensued and decisions were made concerning the proposed projects to increase the capacity of the temple of a rapidly growing congregation, characterised by many young adults, a phenomenon being experienced right across the Archdiocese.
